The coin would have been struck especially for the coronation of Edward VII...however Edward was coronated in 1902 so doesn't seem to be a coronation coin...however..could be that the coin is worn down and the 9 "could" be a "2" in which case it IS a coronation coin.
I've just been looking at a few sites and can't find one with the same words on so it might be an idea to either take your coin to a local museum and see if they have a coin expert working for them or contact a coin specific site.
You may have to describe the coin in a lot more detail or attach a picture or a scan, if that can be done.

Edward VII was crowned in 1902 and when he died, his brother was crowned George V in 1911, so it's not a Coronation medallion.
DG means 'Dei Gratia' (by the Grace of God), then 'Brittaniar Omni Rex' (King of England), FD 'Fidei Defensor' (Defender of the Faith) and 'India Imperator' (Emperor of India).
Hope that sheds some light!

You really must try to ask a coherent question.
'It don't is' makes no sense, OK?
If you go to the Library, (that's a big building with books in), in the Reference section you may well find a book on Medals. This sounds like a Commemorative medal for King Edward VII's coronation.
-----
Second thoughts 1909 is wrong for Coronation.
You could try this page for info on medals.

Whatever it is, it's not a coronation coin. Ed was crowned 1902 (most monarchs it's the year after they come to the throne).

Don M confuses Edward VII with Edward VIII. Edward VII was King from 1901 to 1910. Edward VIII was the King who abdicated in 1936 because he wished to marry Wallis Simpson who divorce made her un acceptable to the Church of England hierarchy.
