STEP 1: Put ice cubes in a plastic bag and cover the wax until it hardens.
STEP 2: Gently scrape the excess using a spatula or a spoon. STEP 3: Set your iron on low heat. Place a brown paper bag without any writing or designs (the ink may transfer to the carpet) over the stain. Press the iron on the bag for no longer than a couple of seconds. Keep iron heat low so carpet fibers don't get scorched.
STEP 4: Repeat and replace the bag as necessary until the wax no longer transfers to the paper when heated.
STEP 5: Blot with dry-cleaning fluid until color is no longer being removed. (Use cleaning solvents sparingly to prevent damage to carpet backing.)
STEP 6: Blot with a solution of 1/4 tsp. dishwashing liquid and 1 cup (8 fl oz/250 ml) warm water to remove all traces of cleaning fluid. Rinse and blot dry.
hope this helps. Good luck with that..cheers

Try and scrape as much wax as possible off the carpet. You will then need to blot the wax into an absorbant paper. To do this, get a brown paper bag and lie it over the remaining wax, then get a steam iron (no steam) and iron onto the brown paper. As the wax melts the brown paper should soak it up.
Be careful if your carpet is of nylon fibres, just incase the iron's too hot and you melt the carpet!!!
It's best to fold the brown paper a few times. Also, in between ironings and folding the paper again to a clean area, why don't you try rubbing dry absorbant kitchen paper towels over the area to soak up a bit more...this'll also fluff the carpet back to it's original state.

Don't use newspaper!!! The print will make a mess.

Good luck:)

Best way is to get an electric iron, and some strong absorbant paper towel, a really good one too, like Bounty.

First heat teh iron up on its lowest heat setting.

Pick off any excess wax from the carpet being sure not to rip carpet up with it!

Then place the paper towel over the affected area of teh carpet.

Place the iron gently on top of the paper towel, and it should heat the wax up , whilst soaking it into the paper towel.

For this to work best, it's a good thing to get some plain paper towel and not one with patterns, as the dye may bleed into the carpet. Also, try folding the paper towel over once, to give it some thickness to soak up the wax into.

Heyho,
Strangly, I found that ice cubes in a tea towel on the offending item, followed by a brisk brush seems to do it.
I have candles on the boat, for nightime effect, and going through tunnels. When you inevitabley bump into something, lo & behold, there is candle-wax on the carpet.
Or there was, until I discovered the use of ice.
It seems to globulate the stuff back into a solid mass, and easily swept up, sort of crumb-wise.
All the best with fancy candles, although they are now banned at my club for "safety reasons"
Twits !
I have a fire extinguisher at the ready.
Cheers,
Bob.

properly i'm no longer completely particular yet possibly in case you warmth water until it is scalding warm and pour it on the spot then dab at it with a towel. try this a pair of situations until the wax is long gone. i don't comprehend if that's going to paintings for particular yet a minimum of it wont destroy that spot on the carpet lots by skill of reducing and scraping at it. in case you at the instant are not anxious concerning to the carpet lots then decrease it whether it sounds like which you're anxious approximately it or you does no longer attempt and sparkling it in any respect. i could attempt the scalding warm water. Cant harm it. i think of that's going to paintings nevertheless. Then once you do this attempt a carpet cleanser which you will spray on and vacuum up. ought to draw out any wax that's left over. do no longer boil the water nevertheless, i don't comprehend if that's going to soften the synthetic fibers interior the carpet or no longer whether it is boiling water. stable luck wish it truly works.

Heat up your iron on low. Make several quick passes and have a damp cloth on hand to wipe quickly the melted wax. When done, don't forget to clean the bottom of your iron.

Definitely greasproof paper and an iron.
the wax should stick to the greaseproof when you iron over it, if it doesn't get it all off, use a new piece of greaseproof!
