It's better to have fun at work, but there are limitations when you don't do your work. Does your boss let you goof off and have fun at work sometimes ?

I have a somewhat stressful role, so the only way i cope is by goofing off - and my boss just turns a blind eye, otherwise if she saw me doing it, she wouldn't really like it. Easier to just ignore it. However, I'm also a manager, and I see how hard my team works, so I force them to have fun. We have "play hookey" days every now and then, and whenever a good baseball game or movie are going on, it's perfect to leave work.

Now don't get me wrong - we all work hard, but that's why we need to let off some steam. Batting cages, long offsite lunches, etc - all helps to keep work fun. I have a great team and would never want them to leave!!

My boss seems pretty cool with just cruising the internet and what not as long as work is completed.
