Did anyone watch the finale of 'Top Chef' last night? I got disgusted when they didn't dump Marcel and switched channels. Can anyone give me a brief synopsis of the ending?

It sucks that the show is seemingly becoming a ratings match and not a food match. I think that they kept Marcel because he's got an attitude problem with the others, period. Sam was so expectedly to win but if he did, it would be totally predicted with no scandal. This has become a hoax because the hawaiian judge really liked Sam's dish but baldy said that he technically didn't COOK it. Not with heat anyway. If Marcel won and I won the contest to have the top chef cook for me at my house, i'd say no thanks.

You basically saw it if you know Marcel is in the top 2. They are not going to show him and Ilan cook off until next week. I hope Marcel wins he has been throught enough stuff with all the bad behavior of others. I could not believe that Ellia joined up in ganging up on Marcel at the end. That says a great deal about her character.

I recorded the episode and today I sat down to watch the first part but with 10 minutes left, my tape ended so I missed the ending. Thanks for asking the question because I was clueless and didn't want to wait.

I'm shocked that Sam went home! I loved him and he was the best out of all of them and was consistent. The fact that Marcel is in the top two is really sad but I think they may have done that for ratings because the chefs rarely like his cooking. As for Ilan, I wanted him to make it along with Sam. I hope he wins in the end.

Sam's not gone! He's back for the Finale!
So are Betty, Michael, & Elia!
If you watched last season, you would know that.
In the Final episode last year they brought back 4 chefs to assist the last challenge........Same thing this season.
I really don't care anymore who wins.....its a REALITY SHOW!
It's not REAL!
We all know that Sam is the "Fan Favorite"
Also that Marcel got clobbered in Las Vegas last week, FOR REAL, by a disgruntled 'non-fan' ! (seriously, he got, like 30 stitches!) Just goes to show some people take it WAY to seriously.
I was dissapointed by Sams elimination & appalled by Marcel, but... IT IS ENTERTAINMENT!
(I wouldn't go out of my way & actually hit anybody over the head about a freaking tv program!)

I can't wait for Wednesdays Grand Finale!
I'm sure one more hour will be wildly entertaining,
After all, that's what it is ......it's TV....it's entertainment....Besides, I know I'll enjoy another hour of seeing Sam with his sexy new hair style.(& he looks a little more 'buff')
& it might even be entertaining to see Betty's renewed rath against Marcel, & Elia's continued whining about the judges criticism, & Michael might just pull another rabbit out of his (party) hat!

BRAVO>>WATCH WHAT HAPPENS!!

Marcel and Ilan remained.

Ilan and Elia attenpted to say something bad about Marcel in front of the judges but what they said was not clear, and Sam and Elia were told to pack their knives.

Elia and Ilan accussed Marcel of cheating. He removed some pans that Elia placed in the oven or something like that. But the judges brushed it off. They're like "We're judging you based on your food. We don't judge you based on your behavior". I really don't like Marcel but I don't think Elia should've said what she said. Very unprofessional. I agree that Sam shouldn't have been booted off. But they needed to keep Marcel for ratings since everybody hated him from the start. I hope Ilan wins.

i imagine Sam became robbed! i became in wonder even as the stunning round had Marcel and Ilan dealing with off adverse to at least one yet another. I genuinely concept it must be Sam and Elia. Sam consistenly received stressful situations by ability of the tutor, maintained the perfect approach (very cool demeanor - such as very last season's winner Harold Dieterle), and became lovable besides! i imagine the manufacturers only needed more desirable "drama" and set up the stunning tutor-down between Ilan and Marcel. Ilan did not ever look to me to be a frontrunner, and as visitors we were always reminded that he only cooked what he knew (spanish nutrition).

Sam and Elia were asked to pack their knives, so now it's down to Ilan and Marcel.

I was in shock when they asked Sam to pack his knives and go. I really hoped it would have been Ilan and Sam standing at the end. I wasn't to surprised about Elia's departure. *sigh* Now I am rooting for Ilan. Kinda weird Sam was chosen as the fan favorite on the same night he was eliminated. Sad to see both Elia and Sam go.
