See the mythbusters. They proved that sound, while impressive, seems to have no harmful effects on the human body, hearing excluded. One frequency that is...no cross freq tests were performed.
Over 130 db, such as a gunshot, causes instant damage to the hearing; however, not to the body in particular.
Lasers and sonics are used in dentistry, to vibrate free and vaporize plaque. As a sci-fi writer I created Laser sonic Impact blasters...lol

Yes just ask my girlfreind she gets in my car and get deafoned by the bass, she hates it as do others im sure sound could be used as a weapon, think about a sonic boom and why super sonic jets cant fly over cities they blow out windows and damage peoples hearing, it would make an interesting weapon

Sound (volume, amplitude) is measured in decibels
126 decibels can destroy your hearing (being close to the speakers of a rock concert exposes you to over 120 decibels)
It is conceivable it could be used as a weapon, not practical, as you cannot control its direction
Look what the wind was able to do when it found the resonant frequency of this bridge

Yes, 180 decibel sound is considered fatal. Some non-lethal weapons based on sound, are currently in use by the military and some police departments usually in riot control and area deprivement.
