Does the METH commercials need more details of what METH does to your body instead of trying o scare you?

I am working on a English paper. I am thinking about doing it on the meth commercials. I believe that is they showed you a picture of someone strung out on crack, that would be more effective. I get so sick of these commercials that try to teach children not to do drugs and they aren't truthful in their information. They need to show the sores that appear on the body as well the overall tole it takes on your aging process as well. I have seen people in their 20's who look like they should be 40. It's pretty bad. Thank you.

In response to your question I say yes, the METH commercials do need to have more details about what METH does to your body because METH is ranked I think number two on the list of the drugs that do the most harm to your body. So in turn yes the METH commercials should have more details instead of trying to scare people because the more we keep everyone in the know they more people we can save from the drugs and themselves.

I think Meth commercials should tell more of the effects on your body. And also what effects gathering some of the ingredients can do to the people collecting them. I mean the anhydrous and the battery acid alone can do damage to the people collecting it before they even try to make meth. Also the Anhydrous can cause problems for the people in the area it is stolen from.

These are scare tactic commercials. The commercials are tailor made for kids and not adults. As adults you can make your own decision about what direction your life should take. Kids don’t grasp the importance of life long decisions so it is best to scare them and show them the consequences. Kids have a short attention span. So, if you were to show kids a commercial of physiological changes and chemical reactions they would get bored easily and they would never grasp the importance of not taking drugs. We adults know the consequences by now, so commercials like these are very beneficial to the kids who are easily pressured and tricked.

speaking from experiance, think they should have people that have been through it talk about it. you would get a better understanding of what meth can accually do to you, your body, and your family. it would give you an oppertunity to see and hear first hand how a life can be affected.

i think you are right there needs to be more then just scaring people... they need to explain what your body goes threw..... i have to agree needs to be explained alot more then that
