I am kind of amazed they didn't see it with an MRI. I've had a couple of experiences where they didn't see a fracture in the x-ray - at least until later. In one case, the issues were more clear in the MRI. Anyway, sometimes they don't see it, and then it ends up taking longer to heal because it wasn't obvious at first.

Deedee.

By using the letters, words and punctuation in your question, and rearranging them, I believe I have come up with an answer...

"because my doctors MRI report didn't see the leg break, I have to wait a month to see a surg."

All that and with "why" and "did" left over.

Unlucky.

Probably because some "fractures" and the break is so small and fine that they do not show up immediately.

I was once told by a doctor that sometimes it takes up to eleven months for a bone to occify to the extent that a fracture would actually show up on an X-Ray.

You can not blame the doctor for this since it was your bone to begin with!

YOU JUST ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, because your Doctor MRI did not see the break.

You haven't given me much information on the type of break itself but, some hairline fractures can be very undetectable. I'm assuming that your Dr's, are competent.

It is hard to say, but if you were in pain, why didn't you get on the phone and call the Dr yourself and complain about waiting so long to get in to see him?
