Is the book "Milady's Standard Textbook of Cosmetology" a good product?

It probably is, but if I were you, I would buy an older edition to check it out first. There probably isn't much difference between the newest edition and ones released a couple of years ago. Book publishers add small changes to books so they can re-release them and make more money. You can get a previous edition for 20 dollars or less.
