Should I be carefull about leaving my laptop computer in subzero temps for a long time (hours at a time). I wondre if its okay in my car for a few hours at subzero temps. I havn't done this yet, but I was wodering if I need to avoid this.

I'd avoid it.
When you go from higher temps to lower, water condenses. Water condensing on the inside of your machine isn't going to be good.

Good question. I'd be most worried about the battery and the display. Have you checked your owner's manual or contacted the company? I wouldn't store at temps outside normal human comfort range without approval/guidance from the manufacturer.

The other thing to be careful about is condensation once you bring it back inside. Condensed moisture in the laptop could short things out or just cause problems from excess moisture/corrosion.

I'd try to avoid it in general unless it was certified for this type of environment. BUT, I'm not a specialist on this.

Extreme temperatures either high or low are not recommended. The battery will almost surely be destroyed plus the sealed lube in the blowers will freeze. Condensation will only happen if you immediately go from sub zero to room temp. Warm it up slowly and when you power it up make sure your cooling fans are working.

it shouldn't break anything, but after it gets below 0 it may not work temporarily. It should run fine when it warms up again.
