I've rented two movies so far, in which the box read: Rated R for violence and sexuality. It didn't say anything on the box about Nudity. However, the movie did have nudity... I don't like that they fail to mention this... Or is it that supposedly now "nudity" is implicit when it says "sexuality"....

Somebody please tell me...
Thanks!

There has been much complaint on the subject of the MPAA rating system of late, including a documentary which may have sparked some change in the system. My understanding (based solely on experience) is that, when renting a PG-13 movie the rating will be more specific, if there are breasts or butts exposed in the film then it will almost certainly be rated for nudity. However, when you rent an R film they seem to allow a certain amount of implicit nudity that is simply accepted as the norm for an R film and not worthy of a rating. It is not across the board, however, and many films with nudity do say so, but not all. The MPAA is erratic at best. My recommendation would be that, if the nudity bothers you, ask around or go to a website that screens films for content like screenit.com, although admittedly their selection isn't complete.
