Recently two courageous men shouted STOP HIM when a bloody nail bomber was running through a London underground station and hardly anyone moved !! Too busy reading about some "Goody" woman whoever? on telly, to be @rsed about a lunatic blowing 100's of innocent people up. So,good question for your question is... How do we motivate a braindead society ?

no wonder the country is as fooked at is it today if there are people like u unwilling to help out someone who is being mugged for instance! now if the mugger was black *cough* i mean coloured(black = politically incorrect nowdays! what this country coming to!!!) then maybe id think different, i dont know... after all theyere more protected in this county than the elderly!!
i wouldnt hesitate, whether they were 6ft or 17 stone of pure muscle , i wouldnt just watch or pretend to be deaf, that would be wrong! you would feel much better about yourself , even if the mugger got away, at least u tried to help someone in need.

I would especially since when I was mugged once and yelled Stop Thief no one helped me and the guy got away with a new purse and new wallet and 80 dollars. I was in college at the time and that was a lot of money to me!

Look at the perpetrator and get as good a description as possible. If my cell phone was handy, I'd take a picture. I would not chase the thief.

Not if they were armed. I reckon life is more important than property. Recently in Ireland, a man was killed trying to stop an armed raider after he left the post office he had robbed.

I was a store detective and used to stop these guys all the time!! And I'm only 5ft 1!!! I'd do it again, yes!!!

I would not :try or fail, i would hunt the thief down and detain the person!!!!!!! THATS HOW I ROLL

Difficult one. If I injured them in the process, I could get arrested for GBH.
