Technically, she CAN 'claim' to own half of your studio flat, but you would need to 'check with an attorney' who knows the divorce laws on 'real property' in your state/country to be sure ... but ACTUALLY I'm thinking that if you filed for the divorce BEFORE you bought that 'flat' that you are it's SOLE OWNER as long as the 'money you spent' so far on it is 'all yours' and not part of 'community property.' I'm guessing that she is simply trying to 'jerk your chain' with this 'claim' of hers ... and maybe she just doesn't really want that 'divorce to be finalized' because then she'll have 'no claims' on your life except as 'ordered by the court' ...

she does not live with you...you are legally separated from her, she has no rights to anything that you own, it's your place, not hers....she's just saying that to have a pop at you....but seek legal advice just to make sure...now if you were both under the same roof then she would be entitled but she's not so i wouldn't worry about it...she's being spiteful...if she is that bothered then call her bluff.....she wont get a single thing, if you have proof that EVERYTHING in that flat belongs to you, then she's up sh!ts creek without a paddle....2 weeks to go mate...then your freeeeeee......relish the thought....

I sure hope you have proof that you purchased all of this after your seperation... also this depends on state laws... and remember which bank account did you utilize to pay for this? A joint account? Sadly she may be able to get some of it... however remember 1/2 of everything in your old home is yours too!
Good Luck.

She might be entitled to some of the money used to buy the flat, if the money you used was community property, meaning that the money you used was not aquired by both of you during the course of the marriage. If not, tell here to buy her own flat. But either way, good luck.

If you bought it with money that you had before the seperation then maybe as she may have been entitled to some of that. But if its from after the seperation then no. Plus it should work both ways - has she any assets now that she didnt have before?

she can only claim what was bought before you too legally separated, and what was purchased with a joint account. So if you left with any items or purchased items from a joint account after you to LEGALLY separated she can request for half of the item or half of the amount you paid for them.Dig for Receipts and Proof.

no longer something yet document for divorce. there is not any longer something he can to do her, as in document a in shape or something. the only subject he might have is that if he remarried, then his marriage could be null and void and he might desire to get into hassle as polygamy is against the regulation (no count if he knew regarding the divorce or no longer) He needs to document and anticipate the main suitable divorce decree via mail, that shows you're legally divorced.

Not likely. Talk to your lawyer about it and he'll straighten it out.
What did they expect you to be- homeless?
Bring him a copy of the contract(with date included), just so they know this isn't extra property you've had all along.

No, i don't think she could claim your any thing from your flat, just from things and properties that you bought when you were together.

when you seperated did you get a seperation agreement ?
if not you really need to see a solicitor ASAP or you could end up homeless again.
