List some good reasons. I am a woman and I certainly don't want "hillary" as President! I do not agree with abortion, gay marriage, and all that c**p! First of all, abortion is murder to children who don't even get a chance for life! They say we can't snack our children, but it is okay to kill them when they don't have a chance to enter this world! Gay marriage is just silly! I don't care what you people think, but she would not make a good president.

Well, personally, I think it's naive to say that having a woman president wouldn't be different at all... it will... but not in any major way...

I really don't think being a man or a woman is irrelevant... it really couldn't matter one way or the other...

Whether or not Hillary would make a good president is the real issue here... I'm female liberal democrat and I'm still not 100% convinced she's the best choice (Not that she wouldn't do ten thousand times better than Bushie... but a monkey would, also).

Do you even know Hillary's position on the issues you listed? Can you cite a quote she gave on either one? Why are so convinced she won't make a good prez?

And why is gay marriage silly? Are they hurting anyone? Imagine this - you're 75, you've been with the same person for 40+ years... and you suddenly are on life support... do you want the person you lived with the majority of your life to make the next decisions for you? Or do you want some random relative who's technically "next of kin," but someone you've barely spoken to in decades making decisions for you... which is truly fair???

...I'll get of my soap box now...

there would be no reason to not have a woman as a President and there is, I think, the misconception that a woman candidate would have to come from the Democratic Party which of course is something that Hillary's people circulate to attract voters who will vote on gender only. Secretary Rice would probably make a great President as she is super bright and experienced in world issues and while she is a minority person she does not rely on buzz words or groups to propel her career. With Hillary we really don't know anything about her other than she will do and say anything to anyone for self gain. She is liberal because that is where she built her power base in New York even though she was not a resident there and liberals there were willing to elect her to the Senate as a non resident. Is she committed to NY? No. In reality she stands in opposition of some minority groups and was at one time a speech writer for Republicans. Thats not a secret but not something that people talk about much. Hillary tries to suck up to all groups and whenever you try to be all things to all people you end up being nothing to anyone.

The fact that I would want a woman president is really not relevant...I just would like a competent president who knows what they're doing and when they don't they let the person that does handle the business...meaning they appoint the right individuals...but during my lifetime I would love 2 see a woman president and right now if that woman is Hillary Clinton then that'll b great.....who knows now it's someone else's time 2 be on their knees in the oval office and believe me there won't be a dress showing up in court with stains...women r a lot smarter...but I did like Bill Clinton so Hillary is straight with me....

I would like to have a qualified woman for President (or a black, Hispanic, oriental or Jew). I won't vote for Hillary for the same main reason that I never voted for Bush (although there are many others in both cases), to wit, I don't like the idea of a single family having two major players in US politics elected. It gives that family an inordinate amount of power within our democracy.

Honestly, I think your question is silly. How would gender even remotely affect whether someone runs for office or is qualified to hold that office? I know that I, as will most Americans, vote for the person that I believe will do the best job.

Incidentally.. 'snacking' on children seems rather repulsive to me.

I think a women pesidant if she is qualified would be a good change.
Honestly how much more f*cked up could this country get.

On the abortion note.
I myself would never get one, but Who am I do gover another womans body. HER body HER choice. And I know in this day and age any women will say it exspecially is up NO MAN to govern a womens body.

And same with the gay marriges. Not my lifwe not my choice.
But I guess thats the differance between you and me.
I tend to live my life.
And you tend to BUTT IN

We need something more mature, for the Presidency in 2008 Hopefully someone with maturity and some good sense sense will enter the race. It is early yet. be carful with your vote. We generally get the Leadership we deserve. Roe vs Wade needs to to be overturned.

who cares what a candidate's sex or color is what you should care about is their poltical views, and if they listen to their consituents ( congress ). Presidents have to follow their convictions and beliefs and follow their advisors advise. I dont think HC can do that . She will not listen to any of the experienced people that have been in DC for a while. Pick a candidate that says and does and votes for what you feel is right and support that candidate...DEM REP LIB OR CONS.. i just hope it is GOP CONSERVATIVES for my personal reasons

I don't want a woman president just for the sake of having a female preident. I want the best, most qualified person to be president. If that is a woman...so be it.
