The age of majority in Canada is 19. Who decided this? How was that conclusion reached? If it is based on statistics of the average age of the majority of the people, shouldn't the age of majority change as demographics change?
I would prefer the age of majority to be higher, so there are less teen tragedy statistics, but perhaps it should be lower to reflect the average age of the people in a given country.
What is the age of majority in other countries? I am really interested to know. Please tell me.

If I had wanted to bring this up with my own congress, I would have.
I appreciate the details of the statistics, but I would like to hear from other countries that are not necessarily North American.
I would also like to know the history of the age of majority, and how it came to be what it is. And your opinion on whether it should be what it is, or should it be changed?
