That is one of my favorite movies. Yes, he was considered more radical than MLK. But, they both wanted pretty much the same things.

I think He was a little more radical, than Dr king, but they both wanted the same thing for African Americans. Martin Luther King message was peaceful, and Malcolm X's was by any means neccessary.

You have JUST now seen this movie? Damn. Okay....well 1st the movie is excellent. 2nd, yes he is considered more of a radical. Dr. King was more about peace bringing about a change. Malcolm was about by any means necessary including force & violence to bring a change. At least he was before his conversion to the Nation of Islam.

he started out as a radical (jail will do that to you). But after he performed the Hajj he began to rethink his position. He saw how the Nation of Islam was more of a cult than a religion, and he backed away from some of the hatred that he was knon for early. there he evidence that He and Malcom were think of unifying the two movements (that might explain why both of them were assassinated).

King was about integration and assimilation
Malcom was about Black nationalism.

At first he was portrayed a radical because he himself was uneducated about the Muslim practices. Once he found out the truth behind his religion(that all men are equal black and white) he opened his eyes and changed his ways. But Muhammed's group wasn't having it. They weren't going to let one man destroy what they built "Ignorance". I truly gained much respect for this man once I saw the movie. He is an example of CHANGE.

Macolm X had the answer for his people. Dr. King was DR. King if you know what I mean. It was sad that Macolm was ASSASSINATED by the nation with the help of the FBI. One can only wonder how different things would have turned out for AFRICAN AMERCIANS had Macolm lived.
