Health care is so high because the hospitals and docs have to charge more to the ones with insurance to make up for the folks without health care benifits, and for all the illegals that have no health care but still utilize out medical system at no charge cause hospitals cant turn them away.

No. You can't lay the blame at any one group of individuals. People just don't take very good care of themselves any more. I mean sure there are a lot of over weight people in the world but there are also a lot of people who drink, or smoke, or don't exercise. Then there are others who are genetically inclined toward cancer and other diseases. I believe all the high cost stemmed from lawsuits against doctors and hospitals; while some were legitimate, others were frivolous and drove costs up.

absolutely not

the cause of the rise in health care costs is the ever increasing cost of technology, imaging techniques, pathology and medical equipment.

the rising cost of medical compensation insurance also plays a part.

we can offer longevity and comfort but it comes at too high a price.

The health care providers and hospitals are the ones gauging the insurance companies which in turn they gauge US.

Being fat, skinny, smart, stupid, brown or peachy colored has nothing to do with it.

Well, one of the causes no doubt (not that I'm skinny but at least I'm not excessive)

Smokers,
people who use the emergengy rooms for ear infections,
excessive unreasonable law suits
stupid people making stupid decisions
people who make a plethora of other poor health care decisions
