Man is at the top of the food chain.

Sun light is the energy.

1) Weeds are the `Producer`.
2) Tadpoles are the `Primary consumer`.
3) Water Beetles are the `Secondary consumer`.
4) Pike or Man is the `Tertiary consumer`.

We have No capacity to digest the the `Cellulose` in plants like Ruminates have.

Plant cells contain something called cellulose. Chemically, it's almost identical to a lot of the carbohydrate molcules (like glucose and fructose) in the food we eat. But cellulose has one bond that's different, and we can't break that bond to get the energy out of the cellulose the way we get it from other molecules. So we could eat grass, but we wouldn't be able to digest it to get the energy we need.

to get sufficient energy from grass we would need to be able to digest cellulose and humans do not have the ability to do this. even animals like sheep and cows find it pretty difficult which is why they eat and poo all day because so little of the grass is actually of any use to them so they eat tonnes of it and crap most of it out.
ps. this is also why you see sweetcorn in your poo

grass is almost indigestable and would use up more calories trying to digest it than it would return so we would probably starve to death eating it. thats why cows and other ruminants have so many stomachs and have to chew the cud(they regurgitate and chew the grass again) this helps in digestion before it passes through its four stiomachs to get all the goodness out. rabbits have to eat it twice as well but they wait till it passes through their system before eating again. we dont have the correct enzymes to break it down

Wheat is a form of grass, also cows have four stomachs to digest it and to get sufficient nutrients from green grass we'd be munching all day. And it doesn't taste good. Is that enough reasons?

Becauses humans can't digest cellulose efficiently. So it would just pass through our digestive system with little nutrients absorbed. The caecum is where animals digest these fibers, our caecum (appendix) is tiny and pretty much useless.

Besides all the other answers, have you ever tasted grass? Would you eat it?

We lack the critical enzyme, beta amylase, to digest it. Cows don't have it either, they rely on bacteria to digest it, and in turn the bacteria transfer that energy to the cow (how i'm not sure).
