You can play FF VII on the PS2 (it'll play most PS1 games). There are no voices in that game though. The first Final Fantasy to have voices was FFX, which was for the PS2.

I'm slightly confused, if your talking about ps3, i'd think you meant FF 12 (FF XII) not FF 7 (FF VII).

FF 12 will definatly improve ps3 sales if it could only be played on the ps3, a pain but a wise move to counter money lost after sony's launch delay.

As for FF 7, square have some spin off titles on the way that may be ps3 exclusive, but the original FF 7 can be played on ps one and ps2 (though if you check its a bit more expensive (£25) to buy than other ps one titles still available)

Because when Final Fantasy VII was made and released (1997) they did not have the technology to add voices on the games. Much the same for Final Fantasy VIII and IX. However, since the release of the PS2 and the progression of Technology, they have been able to upgrade the sound and the picture quality. It is annoying, but unfortunatly it's the way science and technology works.

Alright FF VII is already out for PS2, but its not the original. So maybe you change the question next time.

It is kinda funny though. Nintendo made the new Zelda game for both the Wii and the Gamecube, and the Gamecube one is harder to get a hold of then the Wii one in the UK. There may be profit in making the game for both systems, but I think sony is moving on. That is why Square are doing it for the PS3 only I think.

I agree- I won't be buying one, they are way too proud of themselves, but I would have liked to check out FF

because so many people want the game it would cost them more money to make just as many for ps2 as ps3 and if just ps3 versions are made more people will buy the ps3

so a ways they (sq.-Enix) has shown no signs and indicators that they are fascinated in remaking those video games. despite if, that doesn't mean they on no account will. i be responsive to that all of them started a venture for FFVII which will final yet another 5-7 years so which you on no account be responsive to what they're making plans. i'm effective that finally they're going to come to a determination to remake a minimum of one among those video games, despite if it is faster or later.
