The reason why there is statistically more STDs among gay men is that they tend to be the most sexually active group. All other things being equal, a greater incidence of sexual encounter will result in a greater incidence of STD.

Interesting fact: According to a study two years ago, gay men have a lower rate of prostate cancer. The reason why has yet to be determined.

There is absolutely nothing that is done in bed by gay people that is not also done by straight people. Sex is sex with lots and lots of variations, you cannot define "gay" sex in any way. Being gay is not about what you do in bed but about who you fall in love with.

Sex between gay people is as safe or unsafe as sex between straight people.
