Depends on what material the part of the shoe you want dyed. If it's mostly made of some cotton or plant-derived material (like canvas) and not too much synthetic (check the label), Rit will work. The dye will not stick on leather or plastic material and if the shoes are made up of different textiles, it may color differently on each depending how receptive it is to the dye. If it's mostly leather or plastic and you want an overall color effect, spray paint works best (just don't put too much or it will flake off). Mark off areas you don't want pink and spray away! RIT dye - like the others have said. Readily available (at your local grocery store or Wal-mart) and reasonably priced.
