Amen to that!
I've been *****!ng about the Rex factor since Arizona. I'm flat out tired of it. He's a good QB. It is in all fairness his rookie season. He was on fire in the beginning of the season, and that's the problem. He was awsome because no one had tape on him, then they did, they did their jobs and learned how to defend against him. Then he had to do his job and shape up, he did. By the way, he's a QB in the super bowl. I don't care what they say. I'm not going to pick on Kyle Orton, either, but he wasn't a great qb., and that's why he couldn't take the team to a SB. Grossman has done what he has to get there, and that's all that is necessary, no matter how many interceptions you throw!

Grossman isn't a rookie. And he's not any Manning. If he have been enjoying for the different team interior the NFL he could have been benched early interior the season, however the Bears-D became stable at getting him 2d possibilities. actual, he's coat-tailed his way into the Superbowl on the protection. i'm no longer saying Manning hasn't had undesirable video games too, yet Manning has shown himself as a stable QB, chief, and controller of the line. He makes up for undesirable video games. Grossman is likewise, if what people say is real, a trash speaking jerk on the sector, and that makes me like him basically in user-friendly terms a splash much less. Sportsmanship counts for lots. yet, that's neither right here nor there while while speaking approximately his skills as a thrower.

I agree, the QB factor is a bit overrated. The best against one of the worst, and there are many other facets of the game. Look at the year when Tampa won with Brad Johnson. How about the infamous Dilfer? Good D can win you a title in any league. Look at the Pats the year they beat down Mike Martz and his offensive genius (and WEAPONS). I do think that the bears have a legit shot (I mean they ARE in the game). The truth is they shouldn't be 7 point Underdogs. However, don't forget about Freeney, McFarland, and Mathis on D. The talk has all been about Bob Sanders, and deservedly so. I think it should make for an entertaining game.
P.S. I don't even like the bears and I can't stand GROSSman. You don't need to give him props for getting this far, it's been all running and defense.

The reason the"media" is so hard on Rex is because when he is bad he is soooooo bad. It is that simple. When a guy has 4 near zero Qb rating games people just don't know which Rex is gonna show up. And that's how rookies play. (Not that he is a true rookie)
I watched Rex emerge as a fantasy starter and then was too slow to pull him and let him sink my team this year. He is a model of inconstancy. Whit the Bear's "D" another game in the gutter means a Superbowl loss, and you know how the media is around the Superbowl.
Sincerely: Jerome Bettis is from Detroit.

In regards to the media going a little over the top I would agree. Do I think Eli is over rated, yes. He did get plenty of blame on some of the shows I watched, along with Vick finally. Stats are a bit decieving and can be used to prove different points of view. I think the over all stats as you have shown have simularities to lots of quarter backs. However, the thing with Grossmen is that there was two totally different guys could show up. He either put up a quarter back rating over 100 or under 40 or even zero. You can also look at the fact that the Bears had the easiest schedule in the NFL. The playoffs he has played much better if not at least consistant. Thje test will obviously be on Feb. 4th when he is not at home and the pressure is on. I hope he plays well and wins.

diggetty, why do you keep trying to polish a terd. grossman is not a very good QB. I applaud you research but it is unnecessary. All you have to do is watch this kid play. His has no touch, he has no poise in the pocket, and he makes bad decisions. The only time he throws good passes is when Berrian out runs everybody and Grossman just throws it down field as far as he can. Chicago would be better off with somebody/ anybody else at QB. He will loose the Super Bowl for the Bears because they only throw the ball 25 times a game and Indy will key on the running game. We can talk about this after the game and you will see I am right. Grossman deserves every bit of criticism he has had this year. And I'm a Bears fan. Rex can either play very well (and yes, he does have very good touch on his passes) or he can play very bad. It all appears to be a psychological issue for him. He needs to calm himself down and rely on his linemen to block and receivers to get open. Too often he hurries himself out of the pocket or tries to make things happen that aren't there. Calm down Rex and be patient. You don't always have to go for the deep man when he is covered.

The media bashes many superstars like Grossman because they don't have the balls, or the God given talent to preform the duties of the person they are bashing. My solution is to prove them wrong and after you prove them wrong bash them back. Some of the media bash Grossman because they want to if the negativity will make him perform better or if he will give into it and fall apart.

No.
Grossman is the worst QB to ever play in the bowl.
The Bears are there in spite of Grossman, not because of him.
It's a fact.
