I have been on yasmin for 3 months and this last week I started to spot but I still have another weeks worth of pills before I am supposed to start my period. Any input would be great!

I'm not a doctor... so go see one, or take a test.

It's called breakthrough bleeding and it isn't uncommon when you first start birth control pills - this should straighten itself out in the next couple months. However, if you have missed a pill or two, not taken them at the correct time and are concerned buying a pregnancy test is not a bad idea - and relatively cheap compared to your peace of mind.

The others are right take a test to be sure but just to let you know when starting any birth control up to 5 months after starting you can spot slightly and its normal. Check with your doctor and make sure that everything is ok if you feel uncomfortable after you take the test. (of course if it is negative)
Good Luck

It could be that you are pregnant and your body is trying to miscarry but if you are on birth control the possibility of you actually being pregnant is low. Another possibility would be cervical cancer (because of the spotting). Either way, I suggest that you stop taking the pill and having sex and get an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible.

Take a test to be sure that you are not,but a little spotting can be normal while taking the pill even if it is a little early

stress can make it early, fatigue. Sports too can make it early. Have you been sick at all? Changed your diet? But listen to your body, usually if your a person that is on time (with your periods) and something is out of the norm, then get it checked out. It could be a warning sign. Check online about symptoms in early pregnancy. But other wise give it time, don't asume too quickly.

Spotting is totally normal within the first 3 months of being on birthcontrol, so don't worry.

Wait another week or two, and if no signs of your period, take a test and then go visit your doc.
Be patient hun...
