There was a time when journalist considered themselves Americans, and worked toward building a stronger America.

In WWII when Japan was attaching bombs to balloons, and floating them into the jet stream so they would land on American soil, nobody heard about it, although a good many of them made it and did explode - mostly in rural areas. The media knew about it, but didn't want to encourage the Japanese to expand the experiment by telling them via the news that their bombs worked. Hence the Japanese dropped the experiment.

I think it's treason what the media is doing right now. Every article focuses on encouraging our enemies. They probably wouldn't have a clue how successful their roadside bombs were if the American media didn't tell them on a daily basis.

I know of at least one instance when the media was kicked off of a military controlled island because they were reporting how many, what kind, departure time, and armament of every airplane leaving the island for Afghanistan. It was published before the planes reached their targets and many of the targets disappeared, only to reappear later.

The greatest encourager of global terrorism right now is the American media. Terrorists have no greater cheerleader I'm disgusted to say.

My Generation (the Hippies) reacted against our parents who won World War II. We never thought that our country could be threatened again. Even the threat of the Soviet Union seemed more like the threat of the Atom Bomb than the threat of invasion. So we didn't prepare our children for this time. Now we need to shape up.

That's what they do. If it's not a conflict or causes a conflict, it's not a "big story"
