because, MSG is a food preservative. To make their fries taste and look great they put it in. So people would think MCdo fries is better than other fries. But the real score is, MSG is a silent addicting killer. the more you eat the more, you want to put more fries into your mouth.. \

so happy eating!!!!!

Well, I think that Chinese restaurants put MSG in the food to heighten the flavor. I suppose that's why McDonald's uses it. I know that it makes my godfather VERY sick when he eats anything with MSG, so I have to be very careful when helping him to order Oriental food. He doesn't like McDonald's food, so that's not a problem.

MSG is a flavor enhancer..so it probably makes the fries taste better..it also makes you bloat and feel so miserable the rest of the day..not to mention the headaches it gives you..I have heard there are very few restaurants that don't use it..Applebees,Chilis,and I believe that Wendys doesn't use it..The worst one is Arby's..its in all the meats and fries..

MSG is a preservative, but so is salt, and they salt their fries really good here, but only AFTER they have been fried. My guess is they do the MSG so the fries will be good for an extended time before they actually fry them.

MSG has one purpose. It is an appetite stimulant.

The thinking is that whatever it is your eating, you'll eat more of it if your appetite is stimulated, and to eat it, you must buy it, and when you buy it, they make more money from you.

Just like the tobacco industry making cigarettes more addictive by increasing the nicotine concentration in each cigarette.

It's all part of the "black horse" economy prophecied in Rev 6:5.
