Hmm, I wonder why? MAYBE CAUSE HE HASN'T DONE ANYTHING ILLEGAL!!!!! UNLIKE CLINTON, WHO LIED UNDER OATH IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY!!!!! LYING UNDER OATH IS BLATANTLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL, CHECKING OUT YOUR PHONE CALLS AND EMAIL IS NOT!!!! WANT PROOF? READ THE 1919 CONSTITUTIONAL RULING "STENEK VS UNITED STATES"!!! SO, WITH THAT LAW IN PLACE, THE QUESTION NOW BECOMES:WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO HIDE IN YOUR PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS?

I'm restraining my disdain only long enough to try to provide you a quality answer without sounding rude.

A sitting President can only be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors. It has to be done by the House of Representatives. Even with a majority of Democrats, it ain't gonna fly because the Demos voted for the war and for funding and will continue to do so BECAUSE IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO. No matter how deep you bury your head in the sand, it's a whole lot nicer fighting those bad boys on the streets of Mosul & Baghdad, than here on the streets of Eau Claire, Portland, or Lake City.

Second, the President, once impeached by the House, is tried in the Senate of the United States where a two-thirds vote is required to convict him. Chances are that ain't a possibility with only a 49-51 majority in the Senate.

Last but probably most important is the fact that this impeachment process is not a legal process, but a POLITICAL one. Who wants to watch 2 months of political rhetoric like we did with Clinton? So you see, the charges really need to be high crimes and misdemeanors, not just your differing opinion of how to run the country.

'nuff said

Because we had a largely Republican House up until recently. And now that the democrats are in control, if they focus on impeaching Bush they will get a lot of negative press.

We should though. For anyone who thinks Bush hasn't done anything wrong, what about invading Iraq on the premise that they could have terrorists!? He's condemning people on actions they might take. How would you like to be arrested because you might rob a store?

Furthermore, he led us into war because there were nuclear weapons in the middle east. no such nuclear weapons were EVER found. he falsified intelligence to lead us to war under false pretenses.

Maybe because he hasn't done anything that would warrant impeachment. People are complaining about this war, but you all fail to realize that our soldiers are there voluntarily. They were not forced to go. The rate of re-enlistment is at an all time high! That should tell people that if the people that are actually over there think we should be there, then just maybe our leader knew what he was doing in the first place!!

Because who in there right mind would want to attempt to pick of the pieces of the freakin mess he has made !! You could have the best person out there take the job and he will still ultimately fail because no one for a long time to come is going to be able to fix the damage that Bush has caused not to mention the insane number of people that have given there life's !!!

so we impeach him - now what we are still in a f*c*ed situation !!

Who says we can't? Any President can be if the Congress deems it appropriate. First you have to have an impeachable offense and so far there has been a lot of speculation but no evidence that he has committed an impeachable act.

I am sure that if one can be found, and I am sure members of Congress are working overtime to find one, that there will be an attempt to do so. There is so much hate built up in some members and their outside influences that in place of going ahead and spending their time on passing bills that will strengthen the USA, they will spend their time and our money to discredit him as much as possible.

He has broken the law! He was using wire taps without a court order! I think that he won't be impeached over it because it was for "National Security". Which I think is a bunch of bull. He should be impeached! The only other president who this low of an approval rating was Nixon before he was impeached!

Because that is up to the House of Representatives ... and Speaker Pelosi said that she would not allow any impeachment debate on the floor of the House.

Presuming you mean IMPEACH, then on what grounds? Just because people don't agree with his policy on the war does not mean he's impeachable. I would love to have seen Clinton impeached on the grounds of perjury alone, but it didn't happen.

because a long time ago-- people like you forgot how to spell and couldn't hold an online conversation for a damn... I guess back to the drawing board with this one huh?

Because he hasn't broken any laws. And you need to go back to school and work on your spelling - and don't worry about impeaching Bush who has done nothing wrong.
