it's supposed to be a cover up for an inferiority complex. So they say. If that's true then there's no such thing as a superiority complex. I'm sure there are some who really do have a true superiority complex but then everyone will be analysing them and telling them they're overcompensating their inferiority complex?!

there are likely two approaches to this.
1st is that they unconsciously need to see - and so do truly see themselves as - being Superior.
2nd is that they act out a role wherein they bury their inferiority's beneath a mask of external superiority.
If the base of this is an inferiority 'complex,' then the reasons they have for this behaviour is there to protect itself from crumbling and or collapsing as a result of pressures and of final discovery.

Because in the beginning they had nothing. And because they have managed to extract all they have without a thought for the person who owned it...They develop this so call 'Superiority complex'.

I used to feel that I knew everything until one day I made a mistake. Fortunately it later transpired that I had been right all along. So now I know that I am superior

I think it is because of thier own inner insecurities that make the inferior attitude(ego). If one can get another to bend to thier bullying,,,,they feel than more powerful and in control . The problem is not you, but them and thier own insecurities.

They usually have a low self esteem and have had many years of being told how wonderful they are by their family or how useless they are by the same people.
