so I am converting .AVI and MPEG files to the psp mp4 format using this software. Some of the movies at in the size range of 730-780 kb but when the conversion is complete these same files are now over 1gb or over 1000 kb's. Can someone please explain this? whether that is normal or not?

ALso besides this, I have one more thing this is more of an issue...I am able to download video clips and movies to the memory card duo but the PSP will not let me play them even though it says the movies should be playable with the "video" tab. Any ideas why this maybe happening?

Two of the major things that determine file size is resolution (640x480 is going to have a file size larger than 320x240) and frame rate (15 Frames Per Second will be smaller file size than 30 FPS). You might want to ask on the software's forum for more help http://www.pspvideo9.com/forums
