from another site, someone answered:
"You cannot place monetary value a human life. However, interestingly, if our bodies were 'stripped down' and 'sold for parts', they would not be worth even $10 (the value of the chemicals and substances we are made of)!"

Economically, or on some wider measure?
In the UK a life is worth about £35,000 a year.
That's about the balance point for NICE, assessing whether new medical treatments for the NHS are effective and affordable.
Me, in the past I've earned more than that.
Does that make me more valuable, except to to the tax man?
There are a few things I'd trade all my remaining life in for, or at least risk it, which suggests the quality of life counts as much as its longevity. So I have one or two principles that I value more highly than my life.
And it can't be that valuable, since it's a depreciating asset. I only have a leasehold on life, and the term will be up one day. Will the whole world care? I think not:
I go with Kipling...
"Trust me, To-day's Most Indispensables,
Five hundred men can take your place or mine."
So the value is in what can be done with life, not the life intrisically, even mine.

You know, that's the question, that shouldn't probably have been asked. That's because the more answers you'll recieve, the more questions will appear in your mind. All answers will differ, because every life is unique.
You see, when you want to sell something, you think of the price due to the role the thing you sell can play in peoples' lives and if it is rare. Your life is only your life, and there is no like it in whole universe. Nevertheless, the life is not priceless. I think I'll sacrifice my life, if this would save some other lives, especially the people who are close to me. Of course, it is easy for me toi talk about that sitting on the sofa with a computer, but I think the price of my life is the price of other people whom I love.

the value of life is to accumulate 'Experience'... either emotionally or physically As a result from these life experience you will go though a series of decision making process in dealing with those matters. Then you will gain 'comprehension' about many things and grasp 'knowledge and wisdom' in dealing with human life matters....At the end, you can then probably be an advisor and help those who still involve in an experience situation. this is why people say: when you get older, you become wiser....

It depends on what you mean by "value" and whom is making the judgment about it. If by value you mean $ on the open market, I'm sure all of us would be worth more than $10 for our abilities (slavery) or body parts. How "valuable" I am is in the eye of the beholder. On a human level, the value of my life is in finding meaning, and connecting with others. That is being human, the most valuable thing of all to most of us when you get right down to it.

A lot less to others than to myself. Seems we humans kill each other for for no more value than some moss growing on a rock. My self-awareness and the challenges facing me to understand my environment on many levels is enthralling and worth a lot more than a Broadway show or purchasing the rights to Disney Land.

My life is valued beyond measure...No money can put a amount on it. We are here to connect and love one another. It's about purpose. There are so many ways to ask this question.
The value of ones life is how they value themselves and how they are valued by those around them.
Connecting the dots...Are we plugged into God, Life, People, & ourselves? Great question!
