It seems like you guys are already in a relationship. Maybe he doesn't like being put on the spot to discuss things. Give him patience, since he's given you so much. A man likes to lead & this includes conversations as well. He seems like a great catch, I'm jealous, girl. :) Wishing you the best!

I have a friend who is in nearly the same situation. Except... she has talked to him about their relationship and when she does it scares him off. Then, eventually, they start talking again and get back together. It seems like as long as she just lets the "relationship question" go, everything is okay, but if she tries to bring up that subject he's gone. I tell her to just get on with her life and quit wasting her time, but you people in love never listen.

So, I guess my advice is either come right out and ask him -- very clearly so he understands the question, or plan on just keeping things the way they are indefinately.

Um... I'm not exactly sure what ur question is, love. From what u have already said, it sounds like he does love u and ur kids. So I don't understand what ur problem is. Maybe ur a little insecure about ur love for him? I don't know, I'm just making suggestions here.
Actually, I don't think u have anything to worry about. He sounds very happy with u, and u with him, so if u want the relationship to go further, why not just ask him? Can't hurt, hey?
Good luck, love.

Maybe you were a little nervous and he didn't understand what you were trying to say. Don't try and explain things.

Just ask him where things are going? And when he says what do you mean? You say: We have been friends for a while and now things have been physical and we go places as a family unit and do things together and I would like to know if you see a future in it or is it just friends with benefits?

I would think after a year and a half he would be ready to think about going to the next step. you need to make him sit and talk about whether you are going anywhere or you should be looking for someone else to be your husband and a father to your kids!!
