Oh boy..........
Before you start your travels, I suggest that you have a look on a map......... just so you know which part of the planet you are visiting...............
Amsterdam is A CITY in Europe.
Amsterdam is the capital city of The Netherlands, which is a country in Europe. Oh, and Europe is not a country......... it's many countries that all have their own language and culture. Amazing huh?
Many trains daily from Amsterdam to: Belgium, France, Germany and even the UK (combined with ferry).
How long it takes?
That depends on the part of Europe that you intend to visit. But please, look at the map first............ before you end up in Moscow.
Good luck!

As Amsterdam is in The Netherlands and The Netherlands is part of Europe, it depends where in Europe you wanna go. From Amsterdam Central Station it only takes a couple of minutes to get to the next station.

Sure! Its the same train that goes from London to England, from Paris to France and from New York to New York! So hop on and have fun! And when you're in the Dam, don't eat the purple pills or you'll be on a different train entirely, but thats the answer to a very different question...

Where in Europe? Amsterdam is part of Europe so maybe you don't need that train after all. :)

Amsterdam is in Europe, so your question is irrational.
Add details, I'll edit accordingly.
Good luck!
