Just wondering how many people have actually been to Legal Sea Foods, its a resteraunt known throughout Boston and the East Coast. Also I work for Legal's so I'm always wondering how many fans we have.

My Fiance' and I are from Syracuse, NY and we took a weeken trip to Boston for my Birthday, and I must say that Legal Seafoods was the highlight of the trip. The service was great (we were all dressed up so they took special care of us on our special day, it was very nice) the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was very nice. I got te best picture of my fiance ripping into her lobster at the table, it's hilarious see her in a black dress with a lobster bib on! Great place, I wish we had one up here

I have eaten at the ones in the Boston area, the food is great. However, as others have mentioned it is a little expensive. As the restaurant is located in an area that has many great seafood and other restaurants, I would probably chose another restaurant before legal seafood. I prefer "local" flavor type restaurants, not chain style places and Legal Sea Foods has changed as it expands.

I've been several times, to several locations including the original. I must say, it is good food. However, in Boston there are lots of places for good seafood, so it does have both pros and cons. I tend to not want to go as much to a chain restaurant, and the quality did go down hill slightly, especially considering the prices. However, it is reliable food that will always be something GOOD which you can't rely on in every place in the food industry! So I am sure I'll go again many times, but wouldn't rank it as one of my favorite over all places.

I've been to two of them in the DC area and my favorite thing is the way they handle wine and educate waitstaff:

~Wine has always been properly handled and stored

~The waitstaff knows the menu, food prep and what wines to recommend

~The wine list is AWESOME with many selections in a reasonable price range that compliment menu items perfectly

~The wine flights offered are a wonderful bargain and a great way to narrow down exactly what you'd like to order more of

~Don't know if it's chain wide, but a waiter at the Legal Tysons Corner VA told me that when they get new wines and new menu items the waitstaff tastes them so they know from personal experience how to recommend items for patrons

One of my favorite places to wine and dine :)

I live around Boston and have been to legal's a lot in my lifetime. I must say that now it has franchised the quality has somewhat gone a little south. Also, it is pricey....even by Boston standards. After all, there are numberous places to go if you want fresh seafood.

I ate in the one in DC back in November. I'd eat there again.

The ceaser salad was only ok.

The drinks were good, the staff friendly.

And my scallops were perfect. They were as good if not better than any I've had at Hayes Street Bar & Grill or Tadich Grill in San Francisco.

I have been to the ones in Mass and the one in Ft Lauderdale. Good quality and service, kinda pricy.
