No, not really! You can get a pre-file loan at some places. If for some drastic reason you cannot get a W2 from an employer (such as they went out of business and the owner is in the Bahamas somewhere sucking down margaritas) then you can have a "Substitute W-2" made. You will have to mail your return in when you do this; you cannot efile. It will take months to get your refund (if you have one coming), My advice would be to call the employer and get another one resent if that's the problem, or ask them if they would please fax it to you. Kinkos, Staples, places like that, all have faxing services where they will receive your documents for you.
You have to file with the Federal EIN and Stade ID no that is on that W2, so you definately need it!

yes, you can-use the last paycheck stub of the year. It has all of your year-to-date information on there. Make sure to keep copies of everything, lest the IRS asks you about stuff.

Yes, but you will need to enclose a letter of explanation. If your employer did not give you one. If you lost it your employer can give you another one.
