you need to go to the ER. You may have fractured your orbit and need some x-rays to rule that out. Then you need to see an eye doctor to rule out any damage to your eye. Put lots of ice on it till then.

Everyone is saying the right thing (almost) in that you should bring the swelling down with ice - but NOT directly on the skin around your eye as you will end up with an ice-type "burn" -wrap it in plastic or thin cotton first.
People tell me arnica gel is good for swelling and bruising - probably available at herbal shop or alternative medicine store.
I would avoid what/whoever gave you the black eye too.

Cold tea has amazing properties for sore eyes . Infuse a teabag with boiling water from the kettle , leave the "tea" to go cold then soak cotton wool with the cold tea then tilt your head back and squeeze the cotton wool gently enough for the cold tea to get into the eye .. My doctor told me this years ago and i swear by it .. It wont help the bruising but i am sure your eye will benefit from this somehow ..
Good Luck .

I would go to the eye Dr. If this has been going on for a while. To help ease pain and swelling, take a tea bag and steep it, when it cools enough so it will not burn you place it over your eye. If some of the tea gets into your eye, no problem it helps. Tea has natural healing properties for the eye for minor ailments

Remove the aforementioned eye, rinse under lukewarm water, making sure that plug is in sink in case of any mishaps, and place the eye back into socket, being careful not to injure the eye any more that would have happened, what with you taking your eye out and all.

while i became 15 I had my front the tooth kicked-out. i became distraught. you would be surprised at this style of recommendations that dentist have for a restoration - crowns, bridges, implants etc. So - do no longer anticipate the worst, because of the fact it is probable basically an infection and the antib's will sparkling it up. do no longer ignore to have a dentist check out it asap - besides the certainty that there is little he can do while there is swelling - because of the fact of get right of entry to/discomfort/room to paintings etc. stable luck.

Dear Anna,
Go to the nearest Hospital and get your eye checked out a.s.a.p. I am partically sighted and I have had a lot of eye operations I wish I had a pound the number of times I have heard patients say I wish I had come to the hospital sooner. Remember your eyes are very precious.
So take good care of them. GOOD LUCK
