While finding a maternity wedding dress can sometimes be difficult, gone are the days of hiding away pregnant brides in quiet, small weddings and civil ceremonies. Today’s expectant mother can still have the wedding she always dreamed of, including the fabulous wedding dress that is designed to accentuate and flatter her newly developed curves.
Buying a Dress to Fit Later
Maternity wedding dresses are sized similarly to what you would have purchased prior to pregnancy, and like a traditional wedding dress, you will probably need to have the dress altered for a custom fit. Expect to wait until a week or two before your wedding for your final fitting. Unfortunately, with your pregnant body changing so rapidly, it is not possible to prepare for the big day too far in advance.
One word of caution before you purchase a maternity wedding dress, many wedding dresses are specifically designed for women who are either in the early or late stages of pregnancy. Make sure the dress you choose will still fit or can be altered to fit on your wedding day.
Larger Wedding Dresses versus Maternity
You may be able to find a plus size wedding dress or purchase a larger size dress that can be altered to fit, especially if you are getting married during the early weeks of your pregnancy. However, a maternity wedding dress is especially designed to complement or camouflage the growing stomach associated with late second and third trimester expectant mothers.

Wow, that's stressful. You can't wait until the last moment because wedding dresses take months to order. I used to work at a wedding dress store and had this issue with alot of customers. What we did was, depending on your size (without your baby bump) I'd order a dress you know will be ginormous on you. Or the biggest size it comes in. Then, alter the dress to your size a few weeks before your wedding. It's going to be costly, unless you have connections, but it's the only way to go unless you postpone the wedding a month or two (after the baby arrives). You could have a little ring bearer or flower girl.
Congradulations!!!

There is no way to tell what size you will be. I was very small up until my 7th month of pregnancy, and then everything popped out everywhere. I suggest buying a dress off-the-rack a couple of weeks before your wedding, with enough time for alterations if need be. A couple of websites for maternity clothes actually have maternity dresses for special occaisions, even wedding gowns. They do tend to be more expensive... but in that case, buy the size you wore before you were pregnant.

why don't you move the wedding date up so it won't be so much of a concern and you won't have to be irratiable and tired at your wedding??
If you can't for some reason, you will need to wait and buy the dress right before the wedding. Noone knows how much each person will gain during pregnancy.
Good luck!

you are going to have to wait till like two weeks to a month before your wedding a get one. no one can predict how 'big' or how much they will show. I gained 19lbs, my sister gained 60lbs. with our kids. we are twins. we are all diffferent. There are bridal stores that do same day taloring, but its going to cost you! just be glad ur breast are going to be bigger and they wont have to touch that area. manufacturers make that area on purposly bigger so they get people to 'fix' the dress.

Don't buy a dress until you are in your eighth month.
There is no way to tell, and you will waste money that you will need for the child.
GOD bless AMerica, always.
