As someone with something so debilitating, you should look into Medicare/Medicaid. Any of your local hospitals can direct you to right people within their organization who can answer your questions. If you try a hospital that labeled a 'Mercy' hospital, they may be more versed in it than a private hospital.

For people without acute medical problems, an insurance policy can be subscribed to through an insurance agent.

ouch. I wish I had the answer to that. I would like to see a change in the way things are done that would benefit people in your position but IMO that would mean cutting off the people who are recieving a free pass just because they have no drive or selfworth. God Bless I hope it all works out.

go to the place where you have your bills and ask for a financial counsler and tell them you need help with your bills. many hospitals help patients who don't have insurance and the hospital pays the bills. then contact the companys your with for presciptions as they like to help people out who can't afford coverage. you can also get on the circuit breaker for people who are disabled and they give you breaks on your property taxes and your license fee for your car.
