Is there any way to install patches for the Nascar Racing 2003 Season Demo?

I have the demo and want to install the 1.2.0.1 patch. Every time I try to do it it says it cant find the game.

You can't install a patch to a demo game.

the demo wont let you mod files or apply patches for fear of the patch or file having the full game on it and they want you to pay
