They are the same, well almost.
GM owns GMC, Chevrolet, Cadillac. There are vehicles that come out with all 3 badges and different names but come off the same assembly line.
Chrysler owns Plymouth, Dodge Chrysler.. they did the same thing.. or still do.
It is in the customers preference if they want to drive a Yukon or a Tahoe. They might even ride a bit different or have different options, button, quieter etc... normally Chevy is the cheapest, then GMC then Caddy going off base models.
here is a funny one. Some soldiers show up here in Germany with Cadillac Cateras and think they have a true luxury car... well in Germany the same exact car is an Opel Omega that can even be had as a station wagon..

Considering that GMC makes the Yukon and the Chevy Tahoe...who is going to say anything? Did you know that the old Mercury Mountaineers looked exactly like the Ford Explorer....Wonder why?
Wonder why the Lincoln Trucks look like the Ford F-150 except for a different Grill?
C'mon...you're just trying to pull people's legs. You really do know that car companies own several different "brands" of cars. You're just trying to get stupid people to say...."Oh, I didn't realize they looked the same...That GMC company is stealing designs from CHEVY..." You are one funny person!

That is because they are owned by the same company. GM owns Chevy and GMC. All GMC trucks are the same as Chevy Trucks. Except for Chevy Equinox-there isnt a GMC version of that. The Caddilac Escalade is also the same car as the Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Caddilac is also owned by GM.

They are basically the same, GMC and Chevrolet are the same company. At least they are owned by the same company, General Motors Corporation.
Yes, they can do that. Other car manufacturers have been copying each others vehicles for many, many years now.

They basically are the same. It's from the same manufacturer. Just like the Chevy Blazer and GMC Jimmy are. GMC is the big car maker in the US.

They are the same vehicle, made on the same assembly line in the same factory. Yes, they can do it, and have been doing it successfully for 75 years. All the Chevy and GMC trucks are, and always have been, the same.

all major car companies make multiple versions of the same vehicle trimmed out differently for different price points. developing a car costs a fortune and the costs must be spread as far as possible.
Ever notice that a Lexus es 300 looks just like a Camry?

They are the same.
GM owns and produces both GMC and Chevrolet.
It's the same model, with a few slight changes...with different logos.
