a =1/2m+11
-11 = -11
a-11=1/2m
2/1(a-11)=1/2m(2/1)
2a-22=m

A=(1/2)(m+22)
2A=m+22
2A-22=m

I suppose that the question is, written longhand:

"Solve the equation A = 1/2(m+22) for the variable m".

Assumed so, let's solve the equation, step by step (I used * for multiplication):

A = 1/2 * (m + 22)
2A = m + 22
2A - 22 = m
m = 2A - 22
or m = 2(A - 11)

Okay, first we multiply through the parentheses:

A = 1/(2m+44)

Then multiply by the denominator to get it in the numerator, but on the other side:

A(2m+44) = 1

Divide by 2A

(m+22)=1/2A
Subtract 22
m = 1/2A - 22

Now if that's (1/2)(m+22) then it's a little easier
Multiply by 2 and then subtract 22
2A-22 = m

The question is incomplete.
The m after semicolon was supposed to be assigned a value so that could be used to solve the problem and get the value of A.
