Who do you think Linderman is and what does he have to do with the storyline?

I also think Linderman is somehow connected to "Bad Glasses Man"...perhaps his boss? It seems he is connected to alot of the Heroes (Nathan, Isaac, Hiro...)

I think the cheerleaders father indirectly works for Linderman. I may be wrong. But I do believe that Linderman is not a good guy, maybe more so of the mafia type. He owns everything. He probably knows more than the other characters. Because mostly everything that they need Linderman has some type of control over it. Maybe Linderman is behind the reason why some have special abilities.

Personally, I think that Linderman is "Hal" as in "Hal Linderman" or some such thing... "Hal" is Niki's / Jessica's father.
I don't know why I think this... but this is just a feeling that I have.
Although, I do like the 2 other answers above me a lot!

This show is unpredictable and I have no clue who Linderman is at this point. Its one of the reasons I like this show so much...never know whats going to happen.

I think Lindermann is someone with a lot of money and no conscience. In comic book storylines, he would be the Supervillain (think the Joker, Dr. Octopus, Lex Luthor, Magneto). I believe that somewhere along the line, he either caused, or was involved in causing, genetic abnormalities in individuals, probably to see if he can build a super army or some cr** like that. I believe his purpose is world domination, which is why he doesn't want Sylar killed, and why he's trying to buy a politician (Nathan). But he definitely is important to the storyline: he's involved with Nikki and her husband; Nathan and his family (remember - Peter and Nathan's father was his lawyer), and I'd be willing to bet that in the future we're going to find him connected to even more people. He bought the painting that Peter needed to find the Cheerleader, he bought the sword Hiro needs to slay the dragon, and who knows what else.

Linderman is a mob leader. Go back a few episodes and you may see that he set up Niki and Nathan's first meet, among other things.

I don't know, i was wondering what connection he is going to have with Clair, so maybe her dad is Linderman. But who knows, he could be some random guy who is obessed with powers like Sylar.

I don't know he seems to have his fingers in a lot of pies. Bribed the Senator by using girl with a split personality, had the important painting needed to find the cheerleader, now he has Hiros sword. Seems like he is one step ahead of all the heroes. Maybe he is one of them, I mean he gave up the painting, so he didn't stop them from getting there. Can't wait to see.

I can't wait to find out. I think he's a mobster too. He had something to do with the death of the brothers father I think.
