Guys, the question is not to question some one's interest in the festive action that they may enjoy.. It is only to those people who have a deep knowledge in the Indian culture and have the ability to comment on it. Others, excuse

Look, i do not condemn the V day. But as an Indian, I believe in much higher values. The concept of V- day is not bad. It is the love.

But the current version of V day is not good at all. Currently its considered as a tool to make what we call "settings" amongst youngsters. Let me ask a question how many persons will tell their parents - 'I love u' on this day? If they believe its a day of love, than why they think its only for love with opposite sex and not for other people and friends?

Generally, 90% of the people who celebrate Valentine Day are celebrating what i would call their own "Customised Valentine Day". Their concept of love stops only to their girlfriends. Actually, it's not so. This is also something which even Saint Valentine would not like. The message of the day is -"Love all hate none." It shows us the way to live in a peaceful world.

If you want to know about myself, as an Indian, I would like to tell you one thing. Go to the Yahoo! Answers - USA. There you ask question that how many persons know about Holi or Diwali and how many know how to celebrate them. You will get the answer whether we should celebrate V Day or not.

we indians have 1 good quality that we welcome all religion so ofcourse with that we accept thier festivals too. and being an indian i think it is nothing wrong in celbrating valentine day infact its good as u have a special day to say ur partner or ur dear ones that u love them and in this fast life do we have time to say ''i love u" to our dear ones NO we dont so if on this day one can express their feelings so i think nothing is wrong

and a true indian is who respects all festivals and folllowing them or not is ones own choice.

i myself dont celebrate valentine day but when i know that it is a valentine day atleast i tell my husband dear happy valentine day.so it doesnot mean i m not an indian

Huh, what does being Indian have to do with it?

Methinks being single or in a relationship makes a lot more difference. Being a single guy myself, I hate Valentine's Day. But if I had a girlfriend, I'd be saying the opposite.

Kiran I hate your question, I will celebrate valentines day but when u ask question being indian u will support or not. This is wrong, u people r responsible of making things disasters.

U people create difference, make India a backward country by asking such type of qoestions, does Indian people don't like to celebrate and if they celebrate they r not Indians................

No sense in ur question, it only hurts people feelings, a REAL INDIAN feelings...........

DUH..!!! wat does being an indian have anything to do with supporting valentines or not???its totally irrelevent..cos its all about expressing our love to the dear ones, spending time with them and letting them know how much we love them....it may be our siblings,parents,friends,wife,husband,anyone....its a day of celebrating love with the one we love. and care for...nationality comes nowhere near it. whether you r an indian or an american or british or whatever...it doesn't matter and its of no concern whatsoever...so u better change your mindset about this issue.
