That's what I have been asking. Where is the outcry from the Obama, Edwards, and Richardson supporters.

I see an agenda.

Here's a fact. A couple of years ago, a bill was introduced that would have let Realtors buy into a Group Health Insurance Plan. Since Realtors are not employed by anyone, they are independent contractors, and are not eligible for a GHI Plan. The bill would have allowed over 1 million agents get coverage for themselves and their families. This would have allowed about 3 million un-insured Americans get the heath coverage they need. Well guess what. Hillary Clinton was the deciding vote on the bill, and SHE VOTED NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So now she wants to know about what we can do about health care???? I don't know about you, but that's a spit in the face!!!

And no, I'm not making this up, it is a part of her voting record.

Why did she deny millions of Americans Health Care????

Think about this before you vote.

I don't think Hilary really cares about the answers however, people read them and may be informed or drawn one way or the other; it also puts her face in front of a huge population of Yahoo users. This is purely a political stunt and time will tell if it works or not. Yahoo is in business to make money. It would not surprise me if the anticipated traffic generation by Hilary is the motivation for the feature choice. I do not think yahoo cares who is featured as long as it brings traffic and advertising $$$

Do I think they're making a statement? No. No more than they're making a statement by allowing you to post your question here.

They have an obligation to be open to the questions being asked. Like her or not (I tend not to, personally) she is a notable individual and having asked her question, it's appropriate to have up on the front page. The question was also an open-ended one. If there's an agenda there, people answering are free to ignore it.

Does she really care about the state of American Healthcare? The only person who can answer that question is Hillary Clinton. Everyone thinking they can answer that question is simply displaying a bias.

What I can say is that this is not a new issue for the Clintons. Repairing the health care system for the millions of Americans who can't get health care is something they were trying to do back in the mid 1990s, in the midst of an economic boom and before it was the hotbutton issue that it is today.

You can read into that whatever you like, but I think that that's a strong indication that they do care about actually solving the problem.

Edit: I love how people are marking down my response just because they have an uncontrollable hatred for Hillary. Keep on being predictable...

Yes I think you a making a statement about Hilary Clinton as she is running for President. She is not the only candidate. In fairness to all of the other candidates, you will have to pose questions regarding them. All of us know that Hilary has been on the band wagon for Health Care since she was the First Lady and nothing was done by her then to make a major difference. I am not saying that something does not need to be done about our Health Care Situation.
I think this is a way for her to get her face on yahoo as she knows the power of the Internet - remember she announced her run for the Presidency on the Internet. Believe me she will use it to the max for her running in the next 18 months or till the Democratic Party's Convention in 2008.

It's nothing more than a political tactic. Now are they going to give other candidates the same courtesy? That is the real question.

She implemented her health care policy during the Clinton era on our military families, the long standing Champus program was dismantled and replaced with Tricare which has caused many problems and been nothing short of disastrous.

I do not believe that any health plan she would develop would be beneficial.

I don't know if it is really yahoo that is making the statement. Just because they let her ask a question doesn't make her any better/worse than anyone else. At least her question was real. I've seen some pretty dumb/fake questions on here and I just started looking at this about 20 minutes ago!

But no, I don't find yahoo to be making a statement. She's just like anyone else on here asking a question. The political arena probably isn't really looking at online forums as a way to reach their voters. Even though, if I were in a political position I would be doing a lot of online things because that's where most of the young people are so I would be able to ask them questions and get feedback.

Let's chat, let's have a discussion. I want to know Mrs. Clinton's stance on health care. Should it be Socialized? Start by answering the questions Mrs. Clinton not asking. Let people know where you stand. If you do then people will not vote for you if you tell the truth.

Yahoo is definitely making a statement because Hilary Clinton is the first female president of the USA with Bill Clinton by her side as the first man.

Hilary is a celeb, and is hardly the only one Yahoo has featured. Also, health care is not only back on the front burner politically, but it's also been one of her main pet causes. It's not out of character for her to ask the question. I was surprised that her profile didn;t mention her bid for the presidency though.

I do not believe it is a mistake but I do believe that if other candidates ask for Yahoo questions then they should get equal time. I think she really cares about health care since it was an issue for her back when her husband was president.
I do believe it is great that she asks the public about this. I hope she reads what the public thinks and takes this into consideration. More people who run for public office and who represent the public should find avenues to discover what the public they represent believe.
