Purchase an ethernet card at any computer store - they are cheap. Much easier than trying to get other stuff to work. If you have wireless you can also get a Vonage router with wireless so you don't have to get the network card.

I don't know, but let me discuss something and I will tell you about my Vonage installation.

First, you must have an older computer not to have an ethernet card inside. So you might consider a newer computer or buying an ethernet card. I think you'd be better off speedwise to get a cat5 (ethernet) cable from your modem to your computer. I think ethernet is considerably faster than USB.

Second, my Vonage phone adapter connects to the back of my router. So it seems to me you might have to have a router for it to work. Check the Vonage web site for more details and a phone number I think.

Good Luck

get the ethernet card, Vonage is going to give you a router with several ethernet connections available plus the lines for your phones.

use an ethernet card , Vonage is a Great service and I have had 1 outage for 5 minutes in 3 years - Once you get it you'll be hooked

cable internet is alot faster if you use an ethernet card, i'd advise kicking in 20 bucks or so and getting one.
