Paula showing up to interviews drunk. Randy and Paula laughing non stop at the people auditioning. Simon calling people names and laughing at their physical appearance.

Last night there was only 3 auditions in 30 mins of the show. I used to have respect for Randys and Paulas and sometimes Simons points of views but Paula has lost it she sounds drunk all the time always picking fights with Simon because he calls contestants names.. Well at least Simon doestn laugh the contestants as loud as Paula and Randy. I remember when these two had a little respect for the contestants who are also human i find this so disrespectfull i know people chose to come to these auditions but thats no reason to be treated less than what they really are maybe not American Idol material but like human beings with feelings...

Take for instance the girl who cried last night.. Saying she could be the next American Idol because THEY could teach her to sing. She knew she couldn't sing and I was busting up laughing in my living room.

This show has been on long enough to know that they are looking for talent and certain looks. The people on it now have been watching this show in the past and they know what they are looking for and yet they still come to addition. Some just want that 5 minutes of fame!!!

Leave the charity at the door.. American Idol is something we tune into because Paula is a drunk, Randy is a dork and Simon is rude and ignorant and we love it or we wouldn't watch it..

I will agree with you on the fact they are not showing as many auditions and that stinks I loved watching the people who make fools of themselves.. its the best part of American Idol in my eyes.

I disagree. Some of these people must be crazy. They really believe they will be the next American Idol. When they are rejected by all the judges, they want to know why or they seem defensive. Simon is correct in saying that
"their job is not to advise everyone that doesn't make the cut, but that the judges have a lot of people to audition, and this particular person is not making it to Hollywood. Thank you, you may leave."
If the contestant wants to throw a fit, cry, yell, swear, plead for another chance, etc., etc. I say it's open field to tell that person exactly what everyone thinks after the audition. It's also what makes the show so interesting and funny. Not to make people cry, but some of those people throw out threats like "You're going to regret not picking me." That person's family should have told them they stink before letting them prove it on national TV.

It is entertainment, period. The contestants know what they're getting into. Although I don't like watcing the "freak show" contestants, and I wish the judges were more respectful sometimes, that's the bottom line. We may want to cut the judges some slack - they have to sit there all day watching lots of bad/stupid/insulting acts, while only occasionally finding someone good. If you edit that down to a few minutes of air time, it looks like they're jerks all day long, but that's probably not the case. And yeah - what's up with Paula? Last night she seemed higher than a kite.

I think if people cant sing and they show up then they deserve it. They sound horrible and are wasting their time. Someone has to tell them so they can move on with their lives and get a real career instead of wasting their time on a dream that will never come true.

I agree with you. It is funny to see bad auditions but this year they have gone too far. You know that these people had to go through earlier auditions before they got on TV. That means that the worst people were chosen as well as the best. That is cruel and cynical. They need to replace these judges with new ones, too.

People are stupid for showing up there to embarrass themselves in front of America, it's their own fault, and yes it makes great TV, it's funny!
