Salt Lake City is only about half an hour away. I really don't have to go there for much since I live 10 minutes away from what is called the "second downtown" area of the Salt Lake Valley. I guess I get there about 6 times a year. Usually for Jazz games or the opera. There are some really great restaurants there, too. Strangely enough, the best shopping districts aren't downtown, but are in the suburb of Sugarhouse -- a young, trendy, kinda happenin' sort of place; or in Foothill Village, an affluent, up-scale sort of boutique-y outdoor mall. So who needs downtown?

We just moved to the state of New York about three months ago. NYC is the closest big city although we have not visited yet. We're planning on it since we have friends there.

LA, Laguna beach, San diego, um...Im closest to Laguna beach it's not a major city but very popular. LA is is an hr or 2 drive, i go there when having to go to LAX or see a lakers game or something like that.

I am in NJ which is close to NYC or Philly or DC . Where I am Philly and NYC are almost = in distance and have been there (NYC more often) .
