My plan is very simple.

Everyone in the country gets issued a new coloured licensed plate. You will get one of the seven coloured plates issued. Each colour plate represents a day of the week. Everyone will not be allowed to drive one day of the week based on their colour. If the police see that coloured plate on the road on that day of the week, you will get a ticket.
Not driving one day a week is a small price to pay for dependance on Saudi oil, especially if you could pick the day. It's sort of like lawn water restrictions, with odd and even house numbers. Good idea?

It has some merit. But really, it should be the same day of the week for everybody, Sunday.
When I was a kid growing up in the 1950s, the blue laws still existed where my family lived. One of these blue laws was that no commercial enterprise was allow to open on Sunday. Sunday was a quite family day which we completely enjoyed. It was a day for family fun, and we had a lot of it.
Today, it takes a blizzard and a power outage to get a family day like in the old days. That's too bad. If Sunday became a no driving day, stores would close and families would go on picnics again.

Bush's plan is in all hazard the terrific available top now, yet its no longer ideal. the subject is that because of the fact it is this type of warm concern there'll in all hazard be no consensus and not something gets performed. His pass to turn on the look after might desire to be excelent one. as long as they are powerful and we can in reality guard our borders with their momentary help interior the subsequent couple of years, then I see the Republicans backing off on enforcement and talking approximately concentrated visitor worker courses and different boons for companies and immigrants alike.

It's a start! I'm not saying there wouldn't be problems, but at least you have your thinking cap on.

I commute to work, and see all the cars with one person in them (mine included, unfortunately), and think maybe a one day a week "work from home" rule would be good in many compaines. There are problems with this too, but we're trying to come up with SOMETHING!

Keep it up! :)
