The best way to find good authentic Chinese food in any location is to go the local Chinese supper market. And ask ppl around there. Make sure some of the cooks are chinese. If you see a lots Chinese eatting, and ask the hostess for CHINESE Menu, if a good catoness restaurant, they will have steam whole fish, lobster in XO sauce.... The decoration will definitely be not fancy... as long as it is clean then you are good to go.

truthfully the Mexican industry on commerce might have the acceptable ingesting places on the city that are authentically Mexican with the previous college environment of the flaminco dancing on weekends and then directly to the ingesting places with mariachis and what ingesting place does not have their specific mix of margaritas. in case you head north on Broadway there is the Tomatillos, yet you will be able to or won't have a Mariachi Band. At Mi Tierra with each and every and all the lights furniture and busy busy website travellers, you will ascertain a sturdy time. that's open 24 hours an afternoon. I truthfully have been there all hours and function constantly had a sturdy meal and there has constantly been mariachis. On Weekends there is oftentimes some thing specific happening on the El Mercado (Mexican industry).

Go to Hung Fung's. Publicized in an old 77 National Geographic, it still has the charm of Old Broadway. Love the American/Chinese flag neoned above the dining area. Great food, and good prices.

Is Hong Fung's still open? Anyway, Tim's on Bandera Rd in Leon Valley (SA suburb, NW side) has a wonderful authentic restaurant & fresh seafood market.

I wish I had a suggestion for you. All of the "chinese" places I know are the nasty buffet places. I do know an excellent Thai place called Sarika's on the Northwest side of town.
