how do I open a specific port on my pc?

I am trying to run AZUREUS torrent program but it says i must open port 63528 in firewall options how do i do this. I am using bloody mcafee security centre. thx in advance for any help

you can try disabling mcafee firewall and see if that helps. if yes, then check the program permissions. if you have a router(mostly dsl), visit portforward.com to find how to forward ports to your router

well thats kind of tricky unless your pluging in something into the USB ports or monitor ports, that said, i would aproach your problem like this:

> start
- Settings
- Control Panel
- System
- Hardware Tab
- Device Manager

and then from there go to the ports +/- and open the extended view and if you see a exclaimation point on any or all ports left click and find 'update driver' and do that to any or all ports and see if that helps.

this site will tell you how top open specific ports for specific programs, how to configure your router for best results etc...

and get rid of mcafee as well - it's just as shite as norton... if you want a good one, AVG is free (antivirus) - I don't use it anymore, but only because I have kaspersky internet security these days :D
