My father is my greatest inspiration. I look up to him because not only did he adopt me, my older sister, and my younger brother, but also adopted 3 other siblings from a different family. And although we are not his biological children, he raised us as if we were. I never felt like he treated us any differently than he would his biological children, had he had any. He suffered a lot to make sure that we children had everything we needed to be happy. He is a great dad and a great person for what he has done for us. If it wasn't for my dad, I don't think I would be the person I am today. I am grateful for my dad, who is the number one inspiration in my life.

My 92 year old grandmother. She had 5 children of her own and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis after the 4th was born and told she wouldn't live to be 50. Obviously doctors don't know everything.

After raising her children, she raised 3 of her grandchildren, including me and was in a wheelchair most of the time, but did housework and cooked and everything - as good as people who walked. She also took care of her own mother and uncle after her father died. So, at times, there were as many as 9 people in her house since he died while her children lived at home.

She is the most amazing person I know. She is kind, gentle and has no harsh words for anyone. She can't get up and down by herself anymore, due to the advanced MS, but her mind is still sharp and she is still the inspiration of my life.

I work for a non-profit organization and one of our clients, Jeremiah, is also a close friend to me. He is 28, in a wheelchair, his family is poor, and he is constantly battling heart attacks and has had two strokes so far. He has hardly any muscle strength but rather than sit and mope he works tirelessly to put on a bowling tournament to raise money for our organization. He is absolutely my inspiration. He has taught me that no matter how sh!tty things are in my life, I can persevere.
