i am trying to make a green leather belt a slightly lighter shade of green, how do i do it with out damaging the finish or the belt?

I bought some leather cleaner from Target ,I think it was( Method) It faded my leather chair the first time I used it.

why not you try to bleach it (non destructive procedure), but you have to mix bleach with water DO NOT use full bleach strenght, try 50/50 mix, use a damp a cloth into your mixture and test first in a portion that is less visible when you wore the belt. than let it stay like 30 seconds and wipe it dry, and see result. it not good enough change mixture to 60/40 bleach/water mixture, and follow procedure..

Beat the crap out of it with a whatever . this will age it and fade it. Maybe the sun. I do not suggest products
