I am not going down especially to buy books I just wondered if there was somewhere I could find some of the more should I say obscure ones, as I do not have a credit card so cannot buy on line.

This is not really an answer to your question although any bookshop in London wil sell them but I was in London last year and found the PUB for you to go to. It is like a museum to Sherlock Holmes and they sell food also. It is all to do with Sherlock Holmes. I am so sorry I don't remember exactly where it is as I don't live in England but I know it was central. We were in the city centre. I am sure somebody in London would know. Or check the London Tourist Office site and find it there

You could try the Sherlock Holmes museum at Baker Street, London: they have a souvenir shop. If anyone knows where to find the more obscure texts, it'll be them!

Go out of Baker st station turn RIGHT up to the main road take another RIGHT & keep walking.

There is a Sherlock museaum at around where 221 would be. There is also a shop nearby that just sell Sherlock stuff.

Just thinking that Sherlock Holmes books (I am assuming you mean all the Doyle short stories and the few long ones) are probably available in all major bookstores.

Unless there are some specifically signed by Doyle himself, or some gold bound volumes not available anywhere else, I don't think there is any need to go into the city to buy these. But that's just me.
